about

Binaural Distancing, started by Ross Karre, is a series of duets with artists from different points around our physically-isolated globe. The ground rules of the duet are simple. One artist's mono recording is in the left ear and the other artist's is in the right (hard panned). Each artist knows only the sound ingredients (sound palette, instrumentation, electronics/DSP parameters) and the duration. The two asynchronous files are then united in a digital audio software without any temporal edits.

All proceeds will benefit Music on the Rebound at www.musicrebound.com.
